Smith Family Blog: December 2012

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! December came in with bustle of holiday activities. We went to the holidazzle parade downtown, had an ECFE Holiday party at Nicholas' house, we hosted the Koehnen/Pietrzak/Smith Christmas at our house, had our annual Holiday party, Sydney had a birthday party for a neighbor, and then it was right in to Christmas followed by New Years Eve. Prior to Christmas Sydney was pretty sick with a high fever for quite a few days, but thankfully she recovered so we could celebrate and have a great time together. ,

Sydney's lines from December:

Jesus and God are always in our hearts and Jesus and God made me out of tinsel
Mom: Sydney do you want to help me vacuum? Sydney: Of course not
Sydney: Mommy, I really want to marry you and daddy! I really do!! Please! Can I just marry you and daddy? She said the same thing the next day, but when Mom tried to explain to her why she couldn't she said "Okay, well then I will marry Sammy and his mom will give me a diamond and it will glow"
Sydney just saw a commercial for the clapper... Then she clapped and said "why doesn't the lamp turn on?"

Lexi's New Words (at least we understand them ;)

Book, bucket and a lot of yes and no head shaking
Lexi also said yes in Russian. We asked Syd how to say no in Russian and she said nyet, then we asked her how to say yes and before Syd could say it, Lexi said da. Then she thought she was so funny and couldn't stop giggling. We thought it was pretty funny too.
