October 2012

We are so far behind, hopefully we can recall what happened back in October.  It was a busy month and we packed a lot of fun in! We went to a pumpkin patch and got to bounce in a pumpkin bouncer, play in a corn pit, pick pumpkins and go on a hayride. We carved pumpkins, went to a Halloween party and dressed up at school, dance and of course for trick or treating.

Sydney's funny sayings for the month:

• Sydney says I'm scary, instead of saying I'm scared
• Sydney: Someday I'll ride a school bus! We have to buy one!
• Sydney: When I grow up I'm gonna be a super hero... and a princes too!  
• Everytime the Lumineers "Ho Hey" comes in the radio Sydney says she doesn't like the song and asks for it to be changed. At first we thought she was just being 2 and trying to assert herself, but it's happened 3 times and only on that song. We like it, not sure why she doesn't :)
• Sydney: hit Lexi in the bathtub, so we removed her from the tub and told her that she lost the privilege of reading books before bed and that we would read books tomorrow. She replied, but I found them, I found them right away.

And Lexi's big moments:

• Lexi is walking like a pro and looks so little and cute doing so. 
• She will put a bracelet on, grab a purse and walk around the basement with such purpose
• Lexi is taking swim and when she is in the bath tub she will put one ear at a time under water and then clap for herself after
• She has learned to blow on her food when it's hot
• Lexi will mooing when you say what does the cow say
