Happy Birthday Lexi!

We had Lexi's Birthday party on Sunday, September 30th. Since it was Lexi's first birthday and her golden birthday we had a pink an gold sparkly theme. It was really cute!! We had just over 20 family and friends over, including Josh's parents in from Ohio. Everything went great and Lexi had a wonderful time, the only small down side was she ended up throwing up about 30 minutes after having her cake... She was fine, but it was sad to see her throw up for the first time at her own birthday party :(

Happy Birthday Dear Lexi, Happy Birthday to You!

I'm all done, here let me just throw it on the floor for you!

We love you sweet pea!!

51 Weeks

Busy bees! Sunday we celebrated Fall by taking out annual trip to Minnetonka Orchards. It was a bit cool, but a lovely day. School started this week and it's so fun to see Lexi growing up and becoming a bit more independent.

Up! Lexi said up when Mommy picked her up from the changing table, but she thought it might be a fluke, but then an hour later when playing in the playroom she said it many more times when asking to be placed back at the top of the slide.

50 Weeks

Now that we are home and Fall is here, we are in full swing! Sydney started back at gymnastics and started dance class for the first time. Lexi started swimming class and they are both back in music class. Next week is the first week of school (e.g. ECFE) and we will start doing the neighborhood playgroup again, so needless to say we are busy!!

The week started off with us forgetting we had tickets to the Jason Mraz concert, finding out 1 hour before the show and scrambling to find a sitter (thanks Auntie Kimmy) and rushing to get ready and get downtown. The concert was great, but next time we will try to be more prepared. Sydney had gymnastics on Monday and she jumped right back in to it. Wednesday, Sydney and I went out to lunch and shopping at the Mall of America.  On Thursday Sydney had her 1st dance class and it was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. An entire room filled with little girls in leotards (leotargs if you ask Syd) and tutus; spinning, playing with wands and dancing to fun kids songs. Friday Sydney's friend Quinn and her Mommy had everyone over for a back-to-school indoor pool party. It was so cute and so much fun! Saturday Lexi had her first swimming lesson with daddy and loved it!

Here is a cute Syd story from this week:
After gymnastics Mom and Sydney went to Smashburger. When Mom got up to fill up her soda...
Sydney: is that coffee?
Mom: no, it's soda
Syd: like Minnesota?

Also, Lexi learned to climb up on the couch and is keeping us on our toes, but on the upside also learned to use the sign for milk.

Just an average day, playing with toys while 'standing' on my head

Jason Mraz!
