Super Model

Alexis had her 1st paid photoshoot for a local clothing company called Coolibar on Mom and Dad's anniversary. It was so cute! Mom was worried that it wouldn't go well as it was over her nap time, but Lexi was a rockstar. She kept her hat on, smiled the entire time and was in and out in less than 20 minutes.

46 Weeks

We have some busy little bees! This week we went to the Como Zoo on Monday and had a Messy party on Wednesday at our house. Unfortunately, Lexi got sick again and is back on the Neb, but she's tough and I'm sure will get better soon.
Here are Sydney's cute sayings this week:
Jesus birthday is on top of Christmas

Mom: So what did you do today?
Syd: Bounced downstairs with daddy, I have to get my injury out
Mom: What? You got an injury?
Sydney: No, injury!
Mom: Oh energy
Syd: Yeah, injury. It comes out my bottom...
After some thought, we realized she said this because Dad says you have to work your energy out when they go downstairs to use the bounce house

Sydney calls chocolate chips, chocolate spots and I think it's adorable!

44 & 45 Weeks

We got  back from Duluth on Sunday afternoon and attempted to unpack and get settled back at home. Lexi had caught a little bug while we were up North and it stared getting worse throughout the day Monday. Monday night it was clear that she was having a hard time breathing, so we went to the doctor. She ended up getting put on a nebulizer for sort of virus. The good news was that it seemed to immediately help and she was off of it within a few days. She weighed in at 19.5 lbs at her doc appt. On an upside she learned how to wave bye bye and clap!! Sydney's big news was her "big girl, princess bed" aka a toddler bed. We decided that while up N, she clearly had outgrown her pack'n'play, so with a week of leading up to it we made the leap. We talked about how princesses don't get out of bed all week and then Saturday after nap, took the crib rail off and put the toddler rail up. She got a canopy, new quilt set and a princess nightgown. She loved it! Sydney's reaction "I can't believe it", "it's so comfortable", "it's beautiful!"" Not only did she think it was great, she did a great job and only attempted to get out once. Mom said "Sydney Marie" over the intercom and Sydney laid down and hasn't tried to get out again. The next day she kept talking about her bed and how comfortable it was and told us the alarm said Sydney Marie and she laid back down.

Sydney's new interesting behavior is yelling at herself in the back seat. "don't take your shoes off, when you get out have patients, no you can't do that, etc". I'm kinda thinking we might be a little too hard on her at times if this how she talks to herself  ;)

Syd: can I have some milk mom
Mom: nods head yes, but doesn't get up
Sydney: well get up then
Mom tried not to laugh, as it wasn't nice, but pretty funny coming from her with the way she said it :)

At the park with Sydney:
Sydney: Hey mommy and Josh, watch me!
Mom: What's his name?
Syd: Umm, Daddy
Mom: Right, you should call him Daddy.
Syd: Ok, hey Mommy &; Josh, watch me!

Sydney asked to be a kola bear for Halloween. We were having a conversation about what princess she wanted to be for Halloween, but she kept naming princes. So I showed her the monkey picture from last year, so she would understand that you get to dress up.  She then said she wanted to be a monkey again. After some convincing, she exclaimed she wanted to be a kola bear (I didn't even know, she knew what a kola bear was).

43 weeks

Such a fun and busy week! Sydney and Mommy went to dinner with Camryn and her mom Megan on Wednesday night before they were supposed to go to see Tangled at the Plymouth Movie in the park. Dinner was great, but unfortunately the movie got canceled due to weather, so instead Camryn, Sydney and Quinn decided to go see Brave at a 9:15 showing in the theater. The Mom's thought they were crazy, but the girls were troopers and had a fabulous time! The next day we packed up the car and drove to Duluth for our annual trip up on the North Shore. We rented a beautiful, brand new town home on Park Point and Grandma and Grandpa Stahl joined us for the first two days. The weather was beautiful and the lake was warm, so we got to spend lots of time playing in the sand and lake, hiked Gooseberry falls, saw Thomas the Train and ate at some of our favorite spots! It was exhausting, but so much fun!
