29 Weeks

Lexi is just full of surprises! On Sunday morning while laying in bed with Mom and Dad, Lexi rolled over and said Hi... or at least that's what it sounded like and she continues to say it when excited or just seeing someone. She also will give mom kisses, by opening her mouth wide and putting it on her face :) And if that isn't enough, she started pulling herself up in her crib and most notably started cruising on Friday! She will pull up on our ottoman and if her toy is on the other side she can take a few steps and go get it.

Sydney continues to entertain, amaze and delight us! This week while going to bed she finally ran out of excuses and came up with the ultimate excuse... now after exhausting her list of other needs will say "I need something", meaning I need anything that will keep you in my room and me up a few more minutes.

Lexi pulled herself up for the first time in her crib, but then got upset when she realized she didn't know how to get down.

28 Weeks

Both the girls got colds early this week and Lexi is making huge strides!!

Lexi started pulling to stand! She grabbed on to a plastic bin in her bedroom when I was putting away clothes she has outgrown and got 90% of the way up a few times, but couldn't get one leg all the way under her to push off of. She tried again later the next day and finally made it all the way up!! She is only 6-1/2 months old! She is also turning into such a drama queen... I told her no when she did something I didn't like and got this hug pouty lip, pretended to cry, ducked her head down and then kinda peaked up to see if I really was mad... once she saw I wasn't she acted like nothing happened.

One of my favorite Sydney saying is "I wanna carry you", when she means I want you to carry me. We always says okay, pick me up and then she says NO! Carry ME!

27 Weeks

Easter was last Sunday and the girls (or at least Sydney) had such a fun time at Grandma & Grandpa Stahl's farm hunting for Easter Eggs and seeing the kitty's and chickens. Sydney had so much fun that she decided she didn't need a nap... we tried to get her to sleep with Mom in the big bed, but after almost two hours we conceded and surprisingly she did fine without it. When we were getting dressed in the morning Sydney said: "what's this?", Mom said: "your Easter dress" then she says: "I look like a princess!" She is so cute!! Another cute thing she has been doing for a while now is saying "I love you so much whole wide world"... gets me every time :)

Lexi has also been busy! She had her 6th month check up and is doing great, she started splashing in the bathtub and learned how to go from her tummy to a side sitting/strike a pose stance.

26 Weeks

What a special week. On Sunday we had Alexis's baby dedication at our church and after we hosted a luncheon at our house for friends and family. It was such a great day and we are so happy we got to celebrate it with so many of the people we love. Later that day Grandma Carol, Sydney and Mom went to Maple Grove to get a silhouette cutting done and do a little shoe shopping. On Monday we had some of Sydney's friends from ECFE over for a spring break play date and on Friday Mom and Sydney meet Auntie Lesley and Jack at Fish Lake Park for an Easter Eggstravaganza.
