Happy Halloween

Halloween this year was filled with lots of fun and treats! We had a Halloween party Saturday, carved and decorated pumpkins on Sunday, went to our neighborhood Halloween parade that afternoon, dressed up for school on Halloween (Monday) and then went Trick or Treating that night!

Happy Halloween!!

3 weeks old

On Monday Mommy took both the girls to ECFE for the first time. On Tuesday Alexis had her first date :) Mommy & Lexi met Alli & Teagan for lunch at Granite City on Tuesday. The rest of the week was pretty low key as Josh was traveling again and our nanny was out sick. Wednesday Lexi and Mommy went to the chiropractor for the first time and on Thursday after realizing our washing machine was broken, all the girls spent the afternoon at The Pietrzaks doing laundry.

Firsts: Smiles! Little miss Lexi Lou started to smile when Mommy puts her face up to hers... at first we thought it was just "gas", but it has happened at least 3 times so far.

Sydney - 21 Months Old!

2 Weeks Old

Little Miss Alexis is 2 weeks old and we are starting to settle in to the reality of living with less sleep and more diapers :) Erin, Brandon, Wyatt and Bonnie came for a visit on Sunday, Josh took Sydney to ECFE on Monday and on Tuesday Josh left for his first business trip to Indianapolis and Grandma Ruth came back to help Amy out while he was away.

Alexis had her two week check-up on 10/17/11

Stats:
Weight: 9 lbs 2 oz (97% percentile)
Height: 21-1/4" (95% percentile)
Head Circumference: 14-1/2" (90% percentile)

Sydney also went to the doctor on the 19th and was 33-1/2" and 24 lbs

Week 2

Josh's parents made the trip up to MN to see Alexis and help out. They arrived on the 8th and stayed to the 15th. While they were here we went to the pumpkin patch and apple orchard and spent a lot of time hanging out. Alexis lost her umbilical cord stump on the 9th at on the 10th we had her newborn photo shoot with Angela Kalthoff (pics to come). On her 2 week birthday we had a small welcoming party for Alexis at our house with some friends and neighbors. Here are the pics from the busy week...

1st Week Home

We came home from the hospital the evening of the 3rd and were happy to be home with the girls. Amy's mom was down watching Sydney while we were in the hospital and she stayed for the majority of the week after we got back home. Here are a few pictures of our first week as a family of four.
