We took Sydney to the doc tonight to get her eye checked out and when they weighed her she was over 10 lbs! I can't believe how fast she is growing!!

1st Bottle

Last night we gave Sydney her first bottle. After her bath we put her down in her crib and she slept really well until about 2. When she woke up we had Josh go in and try to give her a bottle. At first she didn't want to take it, but Josh was a champ and finally got her to take it. She took about an oz and half and then went right back to bed in

Daddy's Big Day

We celebrated Josh's 30th birthday while his parents were in town to visit. On Thursday night we ventured out for Sydney's first nice dinner at Gianni's in Wayzata. She slept through the first part of dinner, but when the main course was served she woke up and got a bit fussy. We managed to pacify her with her binky, but that meant Mom had to hold it to her mouth as every time it fell out she started to cry. As we were about to order desert she decided she was ready to leave, so we got desert to go and headed home.

On Friday Amy surprised Josh with a party at our house with about 30 of our friends and family. Some how Josh was actually surprised and the party was a success with Sydney being a good girl and sleeping through most of it.

I can't believe Sydney has already grown out of her newborn diapers. We have known for the past few days we should move her up, but since Daddy had two packages of N's left, we were trying to get through them first. After getting a bit of a mess on three outfits in two days, we caved in and moved on up to the big girl size.

Another 1st of the day was Sid taking her pacifier for the first time!

My Stump, My Stump, My Stump

Little Sydney lost her umbilical stump today! Mom was taking a shower and Daddy came in to show off her cute little tummy, minus the stump that had just fallen off while getting a diaper change.

Home Sweet Home

Sydney and Mom were released from the hospital on Thursday and we had an exciting weekend of many firsts.
