11 Months Old

Our little princess turned 11 months old on Christmas day.

45, 46 & 47 Weeks

We have been quite busy lately so I apologize for the lag in posts... again! Mom and dad took a mini vacation a few weeks back and Grandma Ruth came and watched me, we had lots of Christmas parties and we celebrated my 1st real Christmas too.

New this month:
  • New words - Up, Hot & Duck (I can even identify a duck... at least the rubber kind ;)
  • Dancing - I am a dancing machine! I mostly twirl around with one hand on my hip and the other straight out in front of me (video to come), but sometimes I like to pace/run and then stomp my feet to the music.
  • Kisses - I love to give Mommy & Daddy kisses! Especially in the morning when they let me crawl in to bed with them.
  • I know what teeth are and I love to point Mom & Dad's when they say "teeth".
  • I love to climb! I figured out how to climb up on the mantel of the fireplace and when Dad lets me, I like to jump off in a belly flop type fashion on to a pile of blankets.
  • Kicking a ball - I am definitely destined to be a soccer player, I love to kick balls and toys.

Here are some pictures:

Gotta keep an eye on me... I'm sneaky and get it to all kinds of trouble... hehe!

While this isn't my best performance of unwrapping gifts it's all Mom managed to get on tape. Apparently she needs some lessons on how to use a video camera.

Cabo!

So after not traveling for fun over a year, we finally got the chance to get away and we headed to Mexico for a very short, but amazing vacation to Cabo San Lucas. We left very early Thursday, December 9th and arrived in MX around 11am. We stayed at the Cappel Padregal and it was one of the nicest hotel we have every stayed at. They had an Escalade pick us up from the airport and our driver was great. We stopped along the way for some cold cervezas for the road and headed to Cabo. Once at the hotel we were given drinks and taken to our suite with our very own infinity pool. Since Josh forgot swim trunks we took a taxi and headed out for some authentic shrimp and fish tacos and to find a swim suit. For dinner we dinned at one of the hotels very nice restaurants and went to bed a little on the early side. The next day we got up, had one of the best buffet breakfasts and headed to the pool for some sun and cocktails. Later in the afternoon we looked behind us to see John Legend and his girlfriend lounging by the pool. We had chips, quac and some tasty civiche along with a few more drinks and called it a day. We decided to get out of the sun and head back to our room where we hopped in our private pool. A few minutes later we heard a knock at the door and room service was bringing us chips, quac and beers. That night we got dressed and headed to the evening happy hour at the hotel bar and then out for sushi at Nik San. Saturday we had breakfast and another round of pool time. This time not only John Legend showed up, but his backup singers and some members of the Roots. That night we were going to the John Legend concert at our hotel. We went down for drinks and dinner around 6:30/7 and decided we should grab some good seats as it was first come, first serve. After a little finagling we got a two person couch that was almost exactly 1st row center stage. We grabbed a bottle of bubbly and watched as John Legend and The Roots performed along with Joss Stone. It was amazing!! The next day we had breakfast, packed up and headed back to MN just missing the 10th biggest snowstorm ever on record. We both fell in love with the hotel and Cabo and cannot wait to return!

40 & 41 Weeks

I've been keeping everyone moving these past few weeks with my new moves and skills. In the past two weeks I have started cracking Mom up in the morning by giving her zerberts on her tummy. I am a hit with showing everyone my raspberries on demand. I also forgot to mention that when Grandma and Uncle Mac were here a few weeks ago they taught me to give high 5's. I also have mastered my favorite new word... bebe. I can't exactly tell you what that means, but I do love to say it.

39 Weeks

What a busy week I had! First off mom changed my nap schedule from 3 to 2 naps per day and moved my bed time back 15 minutes. At first I loved it and was sleeping from 8:15 PM to 8 AM, but then I slowly started falling back into my normal wake up time of 6 AM, which mom didn't seem too pleased about. Wednesday was our Halloween party at ECFE which was a blast to see all my friends dress up. Thursday Mom and Dad when to the Maroon 5 concert with Jenny and Eric. I heard they got to meet the band backstage before the concert and I'm guessing they had a great time as they decided to stay downtown over night. Grandma Carol and Grandpa Pat watched me and that was the first night mom wasn't home with me. She seemed a little worried, but I was totally fine with it. Saturday Mom and Aunt Lesley had a Halloween party and I got to dress up again. I don't think I had a scary costume on, but my friend Jack seemed pretty upset whenever I would go over to say hi. That night Grandma Ruth came down to watch me and everyone else went to go see the Buckeyes beat, I mean play, the U of M. On Sunday it was Halloween and our neighborhood had a big Halloween parade and then that night a bunch of kids stopped by our house to get candy. Mom didn't let me go Trick or Treating this year, but said I could next year... I can't wait!!
